Parking
If you’re planning to spend the afternoon shopping at our local boutiques in The District, you have plenty of options when it comes to parking and even better, it’s totally free. Try out the new reverse angle parking being added along Winchester Ave. This option allows you to park directly in front of the Camayo Arcade, home to Melanie’s Bowtique, Bluegrass Sports Card & Memorabilia, Bella Boutique, Jim’s Hot Dogs and more!
Two easily accessible parking lots are located within two blocks to most of the boutiques in The District. The first is located next to the historic Paramount Arts Center and can be entered from 14th and Winchester or 14th and Carter. The second is located next to the Delta Hotel and can be entered from 15th and Winchester Ave or 15th and Greenup Ave.
Lastly, you can find covered parking by using the garage located on 17th Street. The garage can be accessed from Carter or Winchester Ave. This is the perfect spot if you plan to stop by the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center while you’re spending time Downtown.
South Ashland
This up and coming neighborhood has recently undergone a total transformation of the charming 29th Street business shops. The once empty and quiet buildings are now home to some of the most popular boutiques in the city.
Local Mercantile
Want to feel like you’re walking through the Barbie movie? Then step right into Local Mercantile! Ashland Town Center
The Ashland Town Center is a bustling indoor shopping mall with 24 apparel stores, five of those being locally owned boutiques which include Bare Arms, Peaches & Queens, Ironheadz, Shipwreck, and the Girl Scouts of Kentucky Wilderness Road store. A few national apparel chains include American Eagle and Aerie, Carter’s, Belk, JC Penney, and TJ Maxx. While shopping at Ashland Town Center you have plenty of options when it comes to food with 12 diverse dining options including everything from fast food, casual dining, and dine-in options.
