Take a mural walk
Love where you walk
Walking through Downtown Ashland and the surrounding areas can often reveal hidden treasures that add vibrancy and culture to our city. In recent years, murals have become an integral part of our landscape, offering not just insta-worthy photo ops, but also stories, histories, and cultural representations. Grab your sweethart, friends, or a co-worker and rediscover the art that is sprinkled around like colorful confetti. Don’t forget your camera and tag us in your photos! @visitashlandky
Use the map and begin at art alley
Use the Proxi map to find your way around, we recommend beginning your adventure at Art Alley, then wind your way up past Pretty & Poised into Broadway Square. Then make your way to the Riverfront to see the flood wall murals. Or explore the map and start from any location.
Stops along the way
While enjoying your mural walk, remember to stop for a bite to eat, a fancy drink, listen to live music, or do a little shopping. Stop for coffee at 606 Coffee located next to Broadway Books, grab a cupcake from Tipton’s Traditions after viewing the Pirate Ship (The Jewel), or hear live music (Thursday through Saturday) and a craft cocktail at Sal’s Italian Eatery and Speakeasy after you see the Create Mural at Broadway Square. If you end up at the Ashland Town Center, go inside grab lunch or dinner and do some shopping, make it an all day event!
